Bare head casting.  The head has been cleaned and disassembled and is now ready for work to begin.  Both heads were tumbled to remove any dirt, grease, or rust.

One of the chambers received minor damaged sometime in the past probably from a valve head breaking off from the stem and bouncing around inside the chamber.  This problem occured on the head date coded 5H26.  This should not present any operational difficulty.

Once again the same head after final surfacing pass.  Dan uses multiple passes to in order to remove the least amount of material.  A total of 0.006 of an inch was removed, just enough to get them flat.
